Hike to the Humantay Lagoon

Humantay is the name of the turquoise water lagoon located at the foot of the impressive Humantay mountain range. This lagoon is considered one of the most important and impressive in the city of Cusco. You can visit this impressive lagoon by taking the Humantay Lagoon Tour or the Salkantay trek to Machupicchu.

Itinerary:

The tour begins with the pick up from your Hotel / Hostel, between 4:00 and 4:30 am. The process is carried out in compliance with the biosafety and health protocols established by the MINSA.

Then we will go to the northeast of the city of Cusco, we will pass through different towns and villages to the town of Limatambo, from this point we will ascend to the town of Mollepata. Place where we will enjoy our breakfast. Then we will continue our trip to Soraypampa. Upon reaching Soraypampa, we will pass through the control point, where we will get ready to begin our walk of approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes to the Humantay Lagoon (the walking time will depend on the physical condition that each one has). Upon arriving at the Humantay Lagoon we will be able to appreciate the beautiful landscape and the imposing view of the Humantay and Salkantay mountains, after a short rest and taking pictures we will return by the same route to Soraypampa, where our mobile will be waiting for us to return to the restaurant located Mollepata, here we will enjoy a delicious lunch. Finally we will return to the bus to return to the city of Cusco, we will be arriving at approximately 6:00 pm.

Recommendations:

• It is recommended to wear comfortable walking shoes, windbreaker jacket, shorts and Thermal / Dry Fit shirts.

Pick up: 4:00 AM - 4:30 AM

Departure: 5:00 am approximately

Return: 6:00 pm approximately

• All our units have the health and safety protocols established by MINSA.
• Gel alcohol and liquid soap for hand washing.
• Footwear disinfection footbath with 0.1% sodium hypochlorite (bleach).
