Hike to the 7 lagoons of Ausangate

The Ausangate mountain is known for being one of the most important Apus (spirit of the mountain) in the Cusco region and is located near the mountain of 7 colors and the Palccoyo Rainbow mountain range. It is one of the highest snow-capped mountains in Cusco, at 6384 meters above sea level.

Itinerary:

The tour begins with the pick up of our clients from their respective Hotel / Hostel between 4:30 and 5:00 am. The process is carried out in compliance with the biosafety and health protocols established by the MINSA.

After the concentration of our tourists, we will go to the community of Tinke which is located about 3 hours from the city to the south of the city and at an altitude of 3780 meters above sea level. At this point we will take the detour to the Pacchanta community. In this place we will enjoy a local breakfast. At the end of breakfast we will get ready to start the tour of the 7 lagoons of Ausangate. The walk is approximately 7 km that we cover in 5 hours. We will visit the lagoons of: Azulqocha, Otorongo, Alqacocha, Qomercocha and Patacocha 4740 masl; we will also be able to appreciate the Ausangate mountain. During the journey we will see native birds of the area, alpacas, llamas, many vizcachas and with luck the Andean condor. At the end of the circuit we will return to the community of Pacchanta to enjoy lunch. If you wish, you can take a bath in the thermal medicinal waters so that you can relax (optional).

• All our units have the health and safety protocols established by MINSA.
• Gel alcohol and liquid soap for hand washing.
• Footwear disinfection footbath with 0.1% sodium hypochlorite (bleach).
